Main tasks attributed in the project Main tasks attributed in the projectSince CTU's experience and expertise lies in MAC and radio resource management issues therefore it will mainly participate in WP5 on the concept study of radio resource management (namely handover or power control) and in designing of mechanisms that will be adaptable according to current network conditions. Further CTU will participate in WP4 on power-control management techniques for BSs and RSs coordination as well as interference management. CTU will be also involved in WP1 with deploying the operational scenarios and with dissemination of the results through scientific and technical conferences, journals and teaching courses and student's projects. ExpertiseThe group has been involved in EU FP5&FP6 projects ALLIPRO and FIREWORKS and has been involved in many wireless oriented national and international projects. Additionally, the group has a large cooperation with many mobile companies in Czech Republic (Vodafone, Telefonica, Sitronics, etc.). Through participation in these projects the group gained profound experience in 3G/B3G and WiMAX radio resource managements (handovers, power control, or link adaptation), performance evaluation of MAC signalling and optimization, and cross layer interactions.
